The Oulu Market Square has been a busy trading place and a port already since the 18th century. The Market Square barns also originate from that era. This barn was built in 1873, and it was originally used to store salt. Today, Suola-Aitta, the salt shed, is an atmospheric private restaurant and summer restaurant. During the terrace season, from April to the end of August, we offer our customers a terrace with 120 seats, which is open daily.
Suola-Aitta is also an excellent venue for organizing various events and celebrations.
